During 29th till 31st of August 11 teams attended Frank Menschner Cup 2019 in Prague.
On Thursday, the first game day Skalica Chiefs played against Polish Eagles ad won 6:4. During the second game against LCC Wolfs from Prague Chiefs were unable to win and lost 11:8.
During the second game day Chiefs won another 2 games, more specifically against Caps, Fries & Cocks 4:1 and Non-Orbital Astronauts from Earth 9:2. Thanks to these two victories they managed to take second place in group stage and proceeded to semi-finals.
During the first semi-finals Chiefs played again against young Wolfs from LCC, who had more energy and power. They managed to control the game from the beginning and proceeded do finals with victory 11:6. Loss in the semi-finals meant that Chiefs would be playing against Old Dogs Plzen for the third place.
Match for the bronze medal was a nail-biter until the last seconds. Chiefs started last quarter with 2 goal lead, but didn’t manage to keep it and Old Dogs snatched the victory with score of 9:7.
Skalica Chiefs then took fourth place, what is a great success for them. They would like to thank guys from Bratislava Bats and LCC Radotin which played alongside us and helped us get this great result. We also thank to all our fans.
