Boxlacrosse weekend in Skalica with Chiefs Boxlacrosse Cup

During 10th and 11th of August boxlacrosse was present in Skalica for the first time and right in the form of tournament with international teams. Teams presented were Polish Eagles, Serbian national team, Slovak national team and Open Team, which consisted mostly from Skalica Chiefs players. Saturday games were played in hot weather which took toll on players, as each team had to play 3 matches. The results of Saturday games were as follows:

Open Team 6:14 Slovakia
Serbia 5:5 Polish Eagles
Open Team 6:6 Polish Eagles
Slovakia 8:1 Serbia
Open Team 5:8 Serbia
Slovakia 6:2 Polish Eagles

After the first game day the standings were as follows: Slovakia, Serbia, Polish Eagles and Open team.

Second game day the weather was a lot nicer and cooler, which made everybody happy. In semifinals Open Team played against Slovakia and Serbia against Polish Eagles.

After Slovakia won 1:12 against Open team and Poland 3:1 against Serbia, Open team and Serbia were playing for the third place. Serbia was in the end victorious with 7:4 and took the third place, with Open Team taking fourth. In the finals Slovakia didnt leave anything for a chance against bruised and wounded Polish Eagles and won easily 10:0 and claimed first place. Since Slovak national teams is preparing for upcoming boxlacrosse world championship in September in Vancouver they passed the tournament with flying colors.
