A look back on Bratislava Bats involvement in NBLL

This year eight teams were playing „National Box Lacrosse League“. Between traditional Czech teams there were also Bratislava Bats DNV (SVK) and Vienna Monarchs (AUT) joining as well.

Even though seventh place out of eight isnt the best result it showed that our guys can play even game even against top teams. First matches were being played in areal of uncommon sports in hala Nevädzová, where guys played against Plzen Old Dogs and Malešice. In the first game Bats were dominant from the beginning. During the second game they had to battle for each inch of the field and unfortunately Malešice came out victorious. Last game the being held at our home turf was not important, so we took it as a preparation for our involvement at World Championship and the game ended with 12:8 for visitors.

Champion of the league was once again LCC Radotín, which won in the finals against its minor and junior team LCC Wolves.

Now players of Bratislava Bats are preparing for World Championship, which will be held in Vancouver either by tournaments, individually or with open practices in Devinska Nová Ves at Vapencová street.
