The second weekend in NBLL for the Nationals

Another box lacrosse weekend is behind us. This time, the Nationals team played on home ground in Bratislava’s Devinka Nova Ves neighborhood and they matched their strength against two Prague teams, LC ForFun and the reigning NBLL champion LCC Radotin.

The Nationals entered the Saturday match against ForFun better than the guests when they scored twice in a row in the eighth minute of the game, thanks to Adam Kostka followed by Zipaj. These two shooters pulled the team during the whole match when they managed to score 9 goals altogether.

However, from this point on the score kept changing alt he time. The opponent managed to answer the Nationals‘ series of three goals, when we got into a 4:3 lead for the first and only time in the match, with three goals of their own. Havlik shined with his first box lacrosse goal. We managed to tie the score three times.
We entered the last quarter with a score of 7:7. But we didn’t handle this last part of the match. We lost it with a 1:5 ration and we took a 8:12 loss in this match.

The NBLL winner of many years – LCC Radotin – awaited us on Sunday. In this match the opponent showed us their qualities from the very beginning. On a slippery field (caused by heavy rain) our opponent outdid us in all aspects of the game, even in the number of falls. The match ended with the Nationals losing 10:27.

We will play the next two rounds this weekend in Prague against LCC Wolves and TJ Malesice.
